The Twin Journey: Broken Too Soon

About

In the sun-killed city of Lagos, Nigeria, October 1964 marked the arrival of identical twins, Taiwo and Kehinde. From day one, they were an unstoppable duo - mirror images in matching outfits, partners in crime, and confidants in laughter and mischief. Their bond was the stuff of legend, leaving friends and family guessing who was who, but one thing was crystal clear: these twins were each other’s rock, a connection that would shape the women they grew into.

Taiwo and Kehinde grew up in a warm and principled household, nurtured by parents, Victoria and Joshua, a respected figure in politics. When their mother passed away in 1979, their dad stepped up, embracing both roles with unwavering commitment, faith, and strength, guiding their six children through life’s ups and downs. With aunties, uncles, and family friends lending support, the twins credit their father for instilling core values like perseverance, integrity, loyalty, and kindness – qualities that would shape their paths.

The sisters eventually made the leap to the UK to further their education, trading familiarity for a journey of growth, self-discovery, and faith. What felt like uncertainty at first blossomed into a transformative adventure.

Sadly, Taiwo left this world too soon, passing away in London on September 16th, 2025, after a brief battle with illness.

Taiwo’s life and passing embodied grace, faith, and compassion. She lived with intention, bridging cultural divides and touching hearts. Her legacy overflows with love, wisdom, and unwavering faith – a true inspiration.
